Working Together For Michigan Consumers To be Healthy

Who We Are

Passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) brought with it a great deal of expectation among the health care, aging, disability, provider and low-income advocacy communities.

It creates a road map through 2014 that can reduce Michigan’s growing uninsured population, address the challenges that families across the state face in finding affordable health insurance and maintaining the coverage they do have, and offer more affordable options for small businesses to purchase health insurance for their employees.

As ACA implementation moves ahead the state will play a critical role in the success of the law, in fact Michigan has already begun implementing the early measures that went into effect in 2010 and those coming up yet this year.

The Michigan Consumers for Healthcare (MCH) coalition is working to address the opportunities that healthcare reform presents and provide a coordinated, strategic consumer voice at health care policy tables to achieve both immediate and long-term results.
