Written by: Kalena Murphy, Navigator Services Coordinator The Health Insurance Marketplace deadline is fast approaching and all hands are on deck for the Enroll Michigan network. As we prepare for the last week of enrollment, it’s always nice to hear some words of encouragement to keep the momentum going. Kalena Murphy, Navigator Services Coordinator, received a call from Broderick Johnson, Assistant to the President and White House Cabinet Secretary. Johnson expressed his appreciation for the great work Kalena has been doing as well as the Navigators in the state of Michigan. Johnson mentioned Michigan has one of the largest Navigator networks in the country and congratulated Enroll Michigan for its success on enrollment and encouraged us to keep up the good work. Dizzy Warren, Project Director, also received a buzz from the White House. Elizabeth Evans of President Obama's White House ACA Implementation/Office of Public Engagement called to thank Dizzy for the work that Enroll Michigan has been doing in Michigan during the last two years. Evans encourages the Navigator network to continue to push enrollment this week. Hundreds of events and appointments will be taking place statewide this week for last minute enrollees. Our media campaign was launched in early January with radio and TV ads throughout the state and has resulted in a significant increase in consumer phone calls to the Enroll Michigan office and increased attendance at education and enrollment events statewide.
